14 COVID-19 casualties in Albania today, the number of victims exceeds 1 thousand

 The number of fatalities due to COVID-19 in Albania has reached today over 1 thousand victims. In the last 24 hours alone, 14 people have lost their lives.

During the last day, 14 people lost their lives, including the well-known anesthesiologist Mihal Kërçi: 6 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Fier, 1 citizen from Kuçova, 1 citizen from Divjaka, 1 citizen from Elbasan, 1 citizen from Gramsh, 1 citizen from Mirdita, aged 43-83.


Meanwhile, currently in 4 COVID hospitals, 454 patients are being treated, 23 in intensive therapy, 8 patients are intubated.

On the other hand in the last 24 hours, 300 citizens have recovered, bringing the number of recovered to 24,820 since the beginning of the epidemic. The number of hospital admissions continues to be stable.

On the last day, 2501 tests were performed and 788 citizens tested positive. The confirmed positive cases have been identified in the following municipalities:

222 cases in Tirana, 111 in Shkodra, 77 in Fier, from 34 cases in Kruja, Lezha, 31 in Berat, 27 in Saranda, 21 in Vlora, 19 in Durres, 18 in Librazhd, from 16 cases in Gramsh, Mat, 15 in Kavaja, from 14 cases in Korça, Elbasan, from 13 cases in Lushnje, Tepelena, from 11 cases in Peqin, Has, 10 in Përmet, from 8 cases in Mirditë, Pogradec, 7 in Delvinë, from 5 cases in Mallakastër, Gjirokastër , from 4 cases in Skrapar, Dibër, Puka, Kurbin, from 3 cases in Kukës, Kolonjë, from 2 cases in Devoll, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqiza.
