Blerim Xhemaili has returned to Switzerland, to his old club, where he made his professional football debut - in Zurich.

Xhemaili, who has played for Switzerland in 69 games, was declared the champion of Switzerland, with Zurich in 2006 and 2007, under the coach Lucien Favre.

The Albanian footballer has played in the past for Bolton, Torino, Parma, Napoli, Galatasaray, Genoa, Bologna, and Motreal Impact.

This year, he had a contract with Shenzhen FC, but due to the pandemic, he did not play any matches with the Chinese club.

"I am very happy to be back at FC Zurich. I am very motivated. I will do my best to bring my experience to the team", said the Albanian football player.

Xhemaili has appeared three times in the World Cup with Switzerland, in 2006, 2014, and 2018, while he also played in the European Championship 2016.
