Kristjan Asllani |
The Italian championship has become an oasis for Albanian football, as in almost each of its categories, there are talented Albanian names who play with different teams, starting from Serie A with those who are the most famous, and to continue down in the lower categories. There are also many talents who are exploding in various clubs across the Adriatic, with names like Kumbulla and Vrioni being part of a large number of players who have been trained by the best academies in this country.
The next name that is expected to leave a mark in Italian football seems to be that of the teenager Kristjan Asllani. The 18-year-old has been part of the Empoli club since 2017 and with the youth T-shirt he is leaving his mark playing as an offensive midfielder since he was younger.
This has made Empoli leaders see him as a priority for the future and so, Asllani has been constantly joining the first team in training, while he is sitting regularly on the bench in Serie B, although he has not yet had the opportunity to show his values on the field in this championship.
But the Italian media emphasize that coach Alesio Dionisi, taking advantage of the interruption of the age championship due to the situation of COVID, is keeping the player close to the first team precisely because he wants to gradually give him experience in professional football. The club is confident that Asllani, gathered recently with the representative Shpresa, can follow the footsteps of Elseid Hysaj and gain space in this team. Why not, in the future also bring significant income to the coffers of a club which survives thanks to the growth of talent and stands out as having one of the best academies in Italy.
