The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj-Stublla, held a phone call today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia, Anže Logar, whom he thanked for the continuous support of his country, as for the international subjectivity of Kosovo, as well as for all integration processes, including support for visa liberalization.
"Haradinaj-Stublla and her counterpart Logar, shared their views on the political situation in the region and the respective countries, expressing the need for even greater cooperation between the countries of the region, for the sake of peace and stability in the Western Balkans.
In this context, the Kosovar Foreign Minister expressed the need for a final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which inevitably provides for mutual recognition between the two countries and is based on the three non-negotiable principles that - territorial integrity is not affected - the constitutional order and unitary character of the state of Kosovo", it is said in the press release.
Minister Haradinaj-Stublla, speaking about the excellent relations between the two countries, which have strong economic cooperation with each other, said that Slovenia is a model country for the region in terms of integration and that its contribution and support for Kosovo, as a country that knows the region well, it is key to progress.
Slovenian counterpart Logar said that Slovenia is committed to further full support for Kosovo in both the integration process and the dialogue with Serbia.
The ministers agreed on a future meeting aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, also on the eve of the EU presidency by Slovenia, in the second half of 2021.
