The brother of Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka admits that they plan to play together before retiring from football.

Taulant Xhaka, 29, currently plays for Basel in Switzerland and says he and Granit are doing very well.

The 28-year-old footballer Granit Xhaka has a contract with the Gunners until 2023 and said he is happy playing for his manager Mikel Arteta. However, before leaving their football boots, Taulant says they discussed playing together in Switzerland, for Basel.

He told Sport 1 via Fussball Transfers: We have talked about this several times. "My dream would certainly be for Granit to return to Basel and for us to play together for the next few years."

Granit came to Basel through the youth before joining Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012. With Basel, he won the Super League title twice and also the Swiss Cup.

Meanwhile, Taulant has played in his career with Switzerland and Basel. However, a season has been borrowed from Grasshoppers.

While Granit plays with the Swiss national team, Taulanti has chosen to play with the Albanian national team. He played with Switzerland at the U17 and U21 levels before engaging with Albania in 2014.
