Blerta's status on Facebook:
Very exciting news for our film HIVE, which has been selected in the official competition at the Sundance Film Festival 2021, in the category World Cinema Dramatic Competition! Sundance is one of the most important festivals in the film industry in the world and I am very happy that after a long and tireless work of the whole team involved in all stages of the production of the HIVE, our work is being rewarded. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart as I mos honestly enjoyed working with each of you!
The film is based on a real story, the story of Mrs. Fahrije Hoti, who for me is an inspiration and encouragement to continue working hard, and as she says, to only look straight ahead. A story about a woman who suffered a lot from the war but who with work and perseverance has become successful will now have the opportunity to be seen by a wide audience and for me as a director and screenwriter of the project this is the most important part. I want this story to be heard because women from Kosova have always been strong and successful both in and after the wars, but unfortunately very little is mentioned.
Good luck to us all in our jurney with HIVE! Congratulations!
