 The Albanian well-known writer Albatros Rexhaj said in an interview with local media that he will open lawsuits against some large sites on social networks that steal his writings and post them online with another author.

The theft of creations and copyright infringement are very worrying in Albania. Rexhaj has "fallen prey" to the phenomenon, as parts of his books are posted anonymously or under other names. He describes this as a violation of dignity and through the court, according to him, seeks to establish dignity.”

In some cases, his writings have been attributed to great writers like Ismail Kadare. According to Rexhaj, this comes from great ignorance, they do not know Albanian literature but it also comes from malice.

He adds that he has contacted these sites but they have not reacted, they have not even apologized.

The problem with copyright theft is very worrying in Albania, almost all portals abuse copyright. Although there is a law, we have not heard yet of any portal or individual being convicted of copyright.
