150 Turkish workers victimized in Albania as have not been paid for 4 months

 The Albanian party as The Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Durrës branch has denounced that 150 Turkish workers have fallen prey to an abuse of reconstruction.

Publishing a video they have taken from a news edition in Turkey where the case has been first reported, the SMI says that the workers in question are waiting for their salaries from 3-4 months.

They reportedly came from Turkey as subcontractors for earthquake-damaged housing, but instead of salaries, "they were given only 50 euros, a COVID test, tickets, and miserable housing conditions."

"The state has not paid anything despite the signing of the contract and the employees have remained in the middle of the streets of Shijak and are sheltered in inhuman conditions. All 150 workers are without any work permit documents or insurance for such a process, therefore the Turkish consulate shrugs its shoulders as there is no way to intervene in an illegal process for the 150 unpaid Turkish workers."
