The COVID-19 pandemic during 2020 has affected all people, complicating plans for the realization of their projects.

2020 has not been easy either for Pranvera Hyseni, who is continuing her studies in planetary science in the United States.

For a year and a half, Pranvera Hyseni does not have the opportunity to come to Kosovo, and now she is happy to have been able to visit her family and friends. In an interview to Kosovo media she said of how she went through the pandemic period.

"During this year I had a trip around the world, I was in the United States of America, where I traveled to 16 countries, then I continued in Southeast Asia, where the pandemic started and in some way interrupted my trip around world. After the pandemic started, Kosovo closed its borders and I did not have the opportunity to return to Kosovo during the Summer. While then I traveled to Australia, where I spent about six months. "It was very good there because the pandemic was very well managed, and it was allowed to travel within Australia," she said.

Also, during the interview, Pranvera Hyseni spoke about her experience at NASA.

"It was very interesting to see all those technologies that are in an institute like NASA. It has been very interesting and met astronauts to go out into space and step on the moon. The American state values education and not only astronomy, and of course there are all the possibilities, so I started my studies there because in Kosovo there is no matter that deals with astronomy or planetary sciences, so the only possibility for me to continue in this field is to go out and penetrate somewhere abroad, she said.

Hyseni told about the visits he had to scientific centers. “I had the opportunity to visit scientific centers, I had meetings with various astronomers, and so on. "But coming to Kosovo made it impossible for me, so I continued the trip back to the US, and I continued my master studies in the field of planetary sciences, and now it has been my only opportunity to come to Kosovo after a year and a half", she said.

She also talked about the meetings she had with astronomers in Australia.

"When I join astronomers we mainly observe celestial bodies with the equipment they possess, I had the opportunity to observe some of the celestial bodies of the southern hemisphere that from Kosovo are impossible to see. It is interesting for astronomers to see bodies that are not visible from our hemisphere," she said.

At the end of the interview, Pranvera Hyseni said that she feels very happy that her name was given to an asteroid.
