Albanian language teaching begins for the first time in Aspropirgo/Athens



 In Aspropyrgo, Greece, an area on the outskirts of Athens where many Albanians live, has begun for the first time the learning of the Albanian language.

The first lesson started on January 8 with the participation of 20 students aged 7-13.

The children first talked about the history of the Albanian language and the Albanian alphabet, before the lesson started.

Teacher Lefteri Metkaj during a meeting with representatives of the Albanian state in Greece, Ambassador Luela Hajdaraga, Deputy. Ambassador Aleks Jaso and the coordinating officers for the diaspora in Athens and Thessaloniki, respectively, Joneda Dodaj and Aurela Konduri, thanked them for supporting this initiative.
