Albania was ranked second in the "Ses Cup" in Kolasin, Montenegro, an activity between Balkan countries where the sport of skiing is developing, but which also served as an Olympic point of reference. Among the Albanian skiers, Kevin Qerimi and Chiara Di Camillo stood out, two young Albanians who, although living in Europe - Germany and Italy - have chosen to be part of the Albanian team.

The 16-year-old Kevin Qerimi who lives in Italy says "The race went very well, now we will see the result, but the snow was good and the piste as well", he said to TV Klan.

"We are more like a family, as we are few skiers and I am currently the only woman and I have more opportunities to compete," she said.

The president of the Albanian Ski Federation, Elvis Toçi is happy with the result.

"It is a team that with the best in the Balkans we feel more equal and why not winners," said Toçi.

"A good job has been done to find talents in areas where Albanians can ski and live, in Italy, Switzerland, and France," said Etrit Xhuglini, Secretary of the Albanian Ski Federation.

They want to be ready for the World Cup which will start on February 8 and will last about 2 weeks, where qualification to the final is required.

"I am ready for this competition, as it is the most important, including the Olympics, and I will give the maximum for my country, Albania," said Enzio Leonetti.

"It only takes work this 1 month, only training to achieve the best possible result", said Vasil Veriga.

Albanian skis are becoming competitive relying on these young people.
