Every citizen may legally plant at home cannabis in North Macedonia?

 The idea of ​​legalizing marijuana for personal medical and recreational use has recently been trumpeted in Northern Macedonia. The idea is even supported by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, who a few days ago said even that their proposal in legal form, will be that every citizen can plant two to three cannabis roots in his own house.

The initiative essentially fosters economic growth. The organization that advocates the legalization of cannabis for personal needs, is enthusiastic about this idea, but on the other hand there are fears that after this legalization will be hidden high taxes which will nevertheless discourage citizens from using cannabis.

The debate over the legalization of cannabis for personal use is expected to begin in June. In North Macedonia, the cultivation of cannabis for medical purposes has already been legalized, but just for large companies that have to meet precise conditions of space and trade. They have the right to sell the oil extracted from the cannabis plant, but not the dried flower as this request has been blocked in Parliament by the Macedonian opposition.
