Hotel owner that accommodates Syrians who would go illegally to Italy arrested in Tirana

 Fatos Dusha, the owner of a hotel in Tirana, has been arrested by the police after it is suspected that he sheltered the Syrians who were rescued in Vlora the night before. It is suspected that the police have tracked down Dusha after his name was mentioned by Syrian citizens during interrogation, this is what local media are reporting at these moments.

About 50 illegal immigrants from the Middle East (Syrians) stayed for over 3 hours in the open sea in the face of the bad weather. They tried to cross the border illegally to Italy on a speedboat assisted by a group of Albanian traffickers.

The Guard Coast has been notified of a floating vehicle with foreign nationals on board seeking rescue assistance as it was in danger of drowning. The rescue operation involved a Coast Guard vessel and two Italian vessels of Guardia di Finanza.
