Another important document of early Albanian is the Easter Gospel, fifteen lines in Greek letters, translated from the Gospel of St. Matthew (27: 62-66). It was discovered in 1906 in a manuscript preserved in the Ambrosian Library in Milan. The text, the author of which is unknown, is in the Tosk dialect.
It is estimated for its age range from the 14th to the 16th century.
