Dritan Kastrati embracing Nicola McCartney while holding the cover of "How not to Drown" |
The selection was made by members of the Scottish Association of Playwrights and it was Nicola who wrote: "Dritan and I are pleased to accept this award, especially since it comes from the community of playwrights and theater directors in Scotland," he wrote.
He says it is an honor especially considering the quality shows that were produced in Scotland during 2019-2020. This is good news for 2021.
The work "How not to drown" is the story of a Kosovar refugee teenager. Dritan Kastrati tells an extraordinary story of an 11-year-old that his father entrusted to human smugglers to make his way by boat, train and truck across Europe to arrive in Britain.
