 A case of non-declaration of money was hit at the border crossing point with Greece in Kakavija. 23 thousand euros were seized while criminal proceedings were initiated against the possessor. The case was discovered at the exit of the country, inside a "Volkswagen" type car that was destined for Greece.

During the search were found hidden in the handbag of A. T. (passenger in the vehicle), 23,000 euros, which she had not declared. The amount of money was seized as material evidence, according to police.

At the end of the first actions performed by the specialists of the Section for Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in DVP Gjirokastra, A.T., 46 years old, resident in Saranda, was prosecuted for the criminal offense "Failure to declare money and valuables at the border.".
