Erenik Beqiri's film 'The Van' part of the Oscar award list

 The short film "The Van" has achieved great success and has high expectations that may win an "Oscar" award.

The director Erenik Beqiri spoke to local media about this success, saying:

"I feel good and I did not believe that would go to this stage. It has been a 3-year process, many people have withdrawn, but others have worked and cooperated.

I may have been among the last of the staff I found out about. I had no internet and when I opened it I saw it. I am very happy with the qualification, if it happens, that's okay, if it does not happen, I am happy the same. I am down to earth, but there are moments when the mind flies. 

"When I was shooting the film, I just said to my self end it and make a better film."

There are 10 films in the "Oscar" competition for the short film, for which Beqiri says that he has seen only one of them and it was very good.

"The Van" is an Albanian-French production and in the roles are these Albanian Actores: Arben Bajraktaraj, Afrim Muçaj, Lulzim Zeqja, the French actor Phenix Brossard, etc.

In order to earn the right money as quickly as possible, he agrees to be part of several matches that take place inside a van. The rules of the van are simple, the doors close and the van departs on a routine trajectory, returning to the starting point. The doors open and only one winner can come out. The film was shot for the most part in Tirana, while a small part was shot in the Port of Durres. Meanwhile, Beqiri has started work on the next film.
