The Hilton Hotel chain will enter Albania with another Hotel, following a management agreement signed with Kastrati Residences Ltd, owned by Kastrati Group.
An official announcement on the Hilton website says that Hilton Hotels & Resorts will be in the heart of the Albanian metropolis, in a 174-room building that is expected to open its doors in 2023.
"We opened our first hotel in Albania in 2018, and we are expanding our portfolio with the presentation of Hilton Tirana. Partnerships with groups like the Kastrati Group have resulted in a huge boost across Europe, with nearly 450 commercial hotels and a group of 220 emerging properties.
Tirana is undergoing a transformation into a thriving metropolis and we see great potential in this rapidly developing city. Albania saw an increase in the number of visitors to more than 70% between 2014 and 2019 "- said Patrick Fitzgibbon, Vice President for Development at the Hilton.
Shefqet Kastrati, president of Kastrati Group, on the other hand, emphasized the return of Tirana to a capital that attracts more and more visitors. The hotel will be in close proximity to all of Tirana's main tourist attractions, including the Et’hem Bey Mosque and the Skanderbeg Monument.
