After signing the pre-election coalition with 12 small parties, for the elections of April 25, the chairman of the second-largest party in Albania, Lulzim Basha, signed again today with the chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Monika Kryemadhi, a post-election coalition.
The signing of the contract is done as a sign of unity for both parties.
In her speech, Monika Kryemadhi, said after the signing of the agreement, that this is a historic day to join forces and work for the good of Albanians.
"Today is a historic day for the SMI and the DP, but most importantly agreed to join forces and work in the service of Albanians. Our partnership shows that change is coming, and better days for Albanians are coming. Many will say that the SMI is growing from the left-wing electorate. I want to address that we as SMI and PD will be two entities with their identity, we may have certain objections, but we will find the language of cooperation and we will work hard putting before the interest of Albania and Albanians".
While the leader of the Democrats, Basha, said that the joint journey to change Albania begins today. "Albania deserves a government that takes care of you, instead of taking care of itself. I presented work plans for all directions. "Not empty promises, work plans that will change the life of each of you", said Basha. "The time has come to unite and win for every Albanian.".
