The candidate for MP of the "“Nisma Thurje", Rudina Hajdari described it in an interview with Euronews Albanias as extremely difficult to make a political campaign in Elbasan. She considered the fact that "the old parties use a lot of money" to buy votes.
"I have heard different stories, from the fact that a vote is sold at auction...I have heard this from different residents, who offer it in different ways," said Rudina Hajdari, adding that he will do her best to follow up and report these cases.
The former MP of the Democratic Party said that "the cost of the vote today varies from 5,000 to 10,000 lek (about 80 euros), depending on the influence you have as an individual".
The MP said that drugs are already being used as a blackmail mechanism against young users to persuade them to vote for one party or the other.
