"We will win this war with the strength of our character and perseverance and we will soon leave behind the tunnel of the pandemic, where the exit light is increasing," Rama said in a post on the social network Facebook.
On March 28 of this year, started mass vaccination against this virus in Albania.
Rama said that he is optimistic that within May, half a million citizens of Albania will be vaccinated.
"We will return to our desired life," he said.
In addition to Russian vaccines, the Government of Albania has provided 1 million doses of Chinese Sinovac vaccines after negotiations with a Turkish company authorized to distribute these vaccines.
Albania started the vaccination process in early January. So far, 64,075 people have been vaccinated, including the elderly, teachers, and medical staff.
The state also has a contract with the American company Pfizer, to provide over 500,000 doses of the vaccine.
