Albanian weightlifter, Evangjeli Veli made a historic appearance at the European Championships taking place in Russia, receiving bronze medals in the snatch style. The Albanian weightlifter lifted 89 kg in three tests she performed. In the push, Veli is ranked eighth with 105 kg.
In 2018, Evangeli Veli tested positive for doping, and even that year he failed to participate in the European Championship held in Romania. We recall that about 2 months ago Evangjeli Veli had announced his departure from the national team, after several disputes with the federation, but the parties found a common language, bringing in Albania the next medal in weightlifting.
In the following days, it is the turn of Briken Calja, Erkand Qerimaj, Daniel Godelli and Krenar Shoraj to compete in the European Championship, who are expected to bring other medals to Albania.
