The women’s soccer championship in Serie B in Italy is in its final stage and at the top of the rankings is Pomigliano.
Italian media il Napoli online has interviewed the Albanian footballer Grace Domi who has a well-known career there, having previously played with Fiorentina, Torres and Vittorio Veneto.
How did your passion for football come about?
My passion for football was born at a young age, the ball has always been a fixed thought for me. I realized its importance when I spent hours and hours in the park below the house and my mom had to come to stop me from playing.
In Albania, in the country where you were born, at what point is the situation of the women's movement?
I know little about the movement in general, when I was called up for both the national teams under 19 and the seniors, I realized how far behind Albania was compared to other realities. To date, I admit there has been a huge increase.
Since this year you are on the women’s squad with Pomigliano, first in the standings, what persuaded you to finally say yes?
From Pomigliano I was intrigued by the project and the group they were creating to face this path of Serie B. They loved me so much from day one and I'm so happy to be here, all together we are creating something spectacular.
You have won recently away matches against Tavagacco and Vicenza. Sunday's game against the Reds is probably the most important of the season?
Both were important and difficult victories, with Tavagnacco we were able to create more. With Vicenza we suffered more the weight of the field. Despite this, it was important to bring 6 points home and we did it.
On Sunday you will play at home against Riozzese Como, an opportunity to redeem the last games lost at Gobbato. How are you preparing?
