Kosovo police fine the imam of the mosque, there were more than 10 people in the Friday prayer
The fine of the imam Besir Kryeziu imposed by Kosovo Police and the Mosque of Roganë
Besir Kryeziu, the imam of the village of Roganë in Kamenica, Kosovo, announced that he was fined because more than 10 believers were present in the mosque during the Friday prayers.

As he published the sentence he received, he expressed his indignation, saying that Kosovo Police is acting with double standards, since while it was the election campaign, the measures did not apply to politicians.

"Dear congregants, today an ugly act took place by the Kamenica police. I, as the imam of the village of Roganë, was convicted today because I had more than 10 believers in the Mosque.

In a Mosque with two standards, in the elections the measures are not valid, at pandemic times is not valid either. Until yesterday, there were no measures, even though the virus was present. I have informed the believers, so I am not responsible.

I am here to pray, not to guard the door of the mosque of who enters and leaves! Thank you to the Police, who reminded us of the time of communism!" He wrote. Otherwise, the Government of Kosovo in the new measures which entered into force two days ago did not mention the ban on gathering people in religious temples", writes Kryeziu.
