Adviser to the President of the Republic of Albania for the media, Tedi Blushi, claims that some persons, who according to him have already been identified, have misused the telephone data of Mr. Meta, and then sent messages with "offensive content" to citizens.
"On behalf of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, I strongly condemn the consumption of the criminal offense of misuse of telephone messages, allegedly on behalf of the President, by some identified persons, who according to the data provided, have sent messages these days with insulting and threatening content to some citizens", it is said in the statement made for the media.
The Presidency in its reaction says that the misuse of Mr. Meta number constitutes a scandal and this will require an immediate international investigation.
"For this criminal scandal of misuse of the number of the President of the Republic, will be required an immediate and international investigation, because if our institutions were functional, no one would dare to commit such crazy and legally punishable acts that "which could seriously endanger the national security of the Republic of Albania, a NATO member country",
explained the presidency.
