In an interview with Euronews Albania the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama if his government is looking at the possibility of changing the location of Vlora Airport due to concerns raised by environmentalists, but his answer was clear.
"There is no room for negotiations and work will begin immediately. There are some who are against but there are also some who are pro. The development of this country will not stop. Vlora Airport will be built on the tracks of the airport that was there even at a time when there was no development and will not harm anything from the environment," said the head of government.
Mr. Rama stated that the government led by him has shown that it listens to critical voices and there have been withdrawals when they were fair, but in the case of Vlora airport, he said that there will be no damage to the environment.
