About 0.6 million euros are seized from the Albanian cardiac surgeon in his bank account

 The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has imposed a preventive seizure on the bank accounts (current accounts, time deposits/deposits or investments in bonds) of the cardiac surgeon Edvin Prifti, who was arrested several months ago and then released.

Through a notification of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (known locally as SPAK) it is informed that the in-depth financial investigation has found evidence that creates suspicions that Dr. Prifti has set up a proper scheme, which "consisted of presenting false 

 invoices in order to avoid paying taxes”. 

"Also from the verification of the bank accounts of the citizen E.P. or persons registered in his name, it was ascertained that this citizen made Cash deposits in bank accounts in various second-level banks ”, it is announced in the notification of SPAK.

As SPAK informs, the cardiac surgeon Edvin Prifti was seized a considerable amount of money, deposited the bank, and divided it into lek and euro. The seized amount of the doctor goes to over 73 million leks or about 595,000 euros.

The name of the cardiac surgeon came out in wiretaps where he had communicated with the secretary of the Kruja Court as the latter asked a favor to assist in her mother's operation.

Corruption is widespread in Albania, especially in the health system. It should be noted that Albania is a country that generates disease, due to many factors, where the most important are the quality of food and air; while by mythologizing and aspiring to Western life, but on the other way without having the necessary tools and capacities to cure the diseases that that western society generates. For example heart diseases that are generated by junk foods or various cancers that are generated by junk food and polluted air. So exactlly here there is a lot of room for abuse and fraud by the doctors, who give priority to those who pay more, without counting the Hippocratic Oath at all.
