At the meeting of the Minister of Diaspora Pandeli Majko and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in Ukraine, Shahin Omarov, many initiatives were discussed.
In this conversation, it was discussed about the opening of a center of Albanian culture at the University of Izmail this year. They also talked about the preparation and signing of a twinning memorandum between the municipality of Korça and the municipality of Karakurt in Ukraine. This year there will be a joint postage stamp Albania-Ukraine and joint activities will be organized with the National Diaspora Agency.
In October, 660 Albanian-Ukrainian bilingual dictionaries published by the Publishing Center for the Diaspora and equipment for the Information Center of Albania at this university are donated by the National Diaspora Agency arrived in Ukraine. Dictionaries and other materials were donated to Izmail State Humanitarian University by the National Diaspora Agency as part of a memorandum of cooperation in order to establish the Albanian Information Center at this university, in order to promote the organization of joint activities in language preservation. While in September 2020 Albanian language teachers in Ukraine were provided with 133 textbooks and additional textbooks pre-defined for teaching Albanian language and culture, sent free of charge by the Publishing Center for the Diaspora. The books were taken from the three classes of Albanian language and culture, which are located in the high school of Karakurt village, Bolgradsky district, Odessa region and two classes in Divnenskoe village and Azov region, Priazovye, Zaporozhye region.
