Albanian exports to Greece increase significantly, mainly minerals and textiles

 Exports to Greece have increased significantly during the first 4 months of this year.

According to the foreign trade report published by the Institute of Statistics, exports reached almost 6 billion leks, from about 3.7 billion in the same period a year earlier.

The highest value of exports was recorded by the groups "minerals, fuels and electricity", followed by the group "textiles and footwear".

Meanwhile, imports of goods from Greece to Albania, during the period January-April amounted to about 17.8 billion leks when a year ago (2020) were imported 16.2 billion.

In the value of goods imported from the neighboring country, the main place is occupied by the group of goods: food, beverages and tobacco" in the amount of  5 billion leks, followed by the group "construction materials and metals" in the amount of 2.5 billion and minerals, materials fuel, electricity in the amount of  3.4 billion.

Referring to the data, Albania's trade exchanges with Greece during the 4 months accounted for 7.1% of total trade.
