The police started the action for the discovery of a group of drug traffickers, without knowing that a colleague of theirs, the member of the Department of Neutralization of Armed Elements commonly known as RENEA, Xhuljo Liçi, has also been handcuffed.

The operation to catch the traffickers took place on May 14. Official sources from the investigative group told ABC that the blue uniforms had received the information on the operational route, just the day before. They were informed that 43-year-old Luan Gaçi was involved in cocaine trafficking.
Without registering criminal proceedings, the anti-drug agents organized the action and decided that his movements should be kept under surveillance at a distance by civilian personnel. They had no idea that the drug exchange would take place that day. But Friday afternoon, during their action, they found that Gaçi parked his car near a bar in the Ndroq area. A few moments later, the RENEA staff members Xhuljo Liçi and the other person, Ded Nimani, approached him. Packets of cocaine from the trunk of the car were pulled out by Liçaj. At these moments the anti-drug officers intervened but the officer threw the package on the ground. The drug bore the inscription "BARON" and in it turned out to have 1 kg and 88 gr of cocaine.

The three persons, Liçi, Nimani and Gaçi, were handcuffed on charges of producing and selling narcotics, in collaboration.
During the interrogation, they refused to give any statement before the investigators.
This Sunday, the prosecution submitted to the court the imposition of the security measure "prison arrest" for the three. It has not yet been revealed to whom the amount of cocaine belonged and where it was taken.
