Turkish media report that police have sent a team of five people to the Balkans, where one of them is working with Albanian authorities to find and capture Faruk Fatih Özer, who is suspected of hiding about $ 2 billion belonging to more than 390 thousands of investors in the Turkish cryptocurrency "Thodex".
Meanwhile, four others have gone to Kosovo, Macedonia, Bosnia and Montenegro where it is suspected that the Turk may escape as he is being closely pursued in Albania.
Earlier, police also revealed his whereabouts by revealing his address.
The escape
Turkish media EnSonHaber wrote that immediately after arriving in Albania, Faruk Fatih Özer settled in a hotel near Zogu i Zi in Tirana booking three nights, but that he left there the second night hiding in a house near the area of New Bazaar in Tirana. It was the home of the couple who hosted him in Rinas.
"EnSonHaber" reports referring to sources from the Turkish police that Faruk Fatih Özer did not stay long after he was discovered by the authorities, thus he headed toward Myslym Shyri Street. But it was not said about the famous Turk as this place where he was hiding was discovered by the police, causing him to be recently transferred to the area of 21 Dhjetori where he has lost track.
Turkish media report that he is suspected of still hiding in Albania with the intention of fleeing to one of the Balkan countries such as North Macedonia, Montenegro, but also Bosnia.
