Gjon Muharremaj, known in the art world as Gjon’s Tears, was the representative of Switzerland in Eurovision 2021, where he managed to come out first thanks to the votes of professional juries, while in the final result, which includes public voting, he was ranked third.

Born in Switzerland, Gjoni learned the Albanian language with the help of his mother, but also the will to explore the language that Gjon says he was fascinated by.

"I was born in Switzerland and I learned Albanian there. The Albanian language fascinated me, I wanted to learn it. I learned it with my mom, but I also learned the alphabet myself, through the internet ".

"Peristeri's performance was excellent. There are plenty of singers who sing well, but the most important thing is how you are as a person. And Anxhela is a good person because she gave me time when we had doubts, we talked and we gave a lot of energy to each other to pass Eurovision as well as possible", said Gjon Muharremaj.

The artist of Albanian origin also spoke about his new project, where he said that he is signing a contract with a record company in France, to start working on a music album that is expected to be released in June 2022.
