Investigative file on the mafia-style execution passes to the SPAK

 

 The Special Structure for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Corruption commonly known as SPAK, has received the investigation file for the murder of the banker A. S., Euronews Albania reports.

The file that was until now in the Court of Tirana has passed to the SPAK after the Tirana Prosecutor's Office has concluded that the murder was committed by a structured criminal group.

Well-known banker A. S. was executed in an assassination attempt that took place in 2014 in the area of the former Bloc in the capital.

The murder was mafia-style after the 58-year-old was shot with a firearm by two people with motorcycles a few moments after he got out of the vehicle and was heading to his office on "Ismail Qemali" Street.

A, S. is known as the director of the first Albanian second tier bank, Credins Bank. This Bank, which was established in 2001 by a group of professionals in the field of banking, was the first Albanian business initiative which passed from commercial to financial capital.

Businessman A. S. from 2009 onwards is also known as a shareholder in two media groups, initially Scan Television with mainly economic content and then in 2011, the news information group of News 24, with Gazeta Shqiptare, Radio Rash, and Balkanweb who since 2011 became the property of the Albanian company Focus Group SHPK, founded by A. S. and Irfan Hysenbelliu.
