The municipality of Broc in the canton of Freiburg will organize a party this Summer for its "hero", Eurovision participant, Gjon's Tears who comes from this locality.
"There will be no spontaneous and immediate celebration on Saturday," Broc Mayor Claude Cretton told the Keystone-SDA news agency on Friday.
"We are waiting for the corona protection measures to be relaxed so that we can have as many people with us."
According to the mayor, the date will depend a lot on the fact if the singer will be in disposition, who is currently very busy. Gjon'a Tears, who is actually called Gjon Muharremaj, is of Albanian-Kosovo origin and lives in Broc in the Gruyère region of Friborg.
Albanian Gjon Muharremaj, who represents Switzerland in "Eurovision" has emerged victorious in the jury votes in this year's edition. Of the 39 states that voted, John Tears received 267 votes. Right behind him is France with 248.
