Seasonal employment begins, 200 workers have headed to Greece since Saturday

 As of this morning, hundreds of Albanian seasonal workers have turned to the Kakavia border crossing following the decision of the Greek authorities to allow this category of persons to cross through this border point.

They, after filling out the PLF form, will also undergo a quick test at the Greek border, while they will continue their journey but only 400 people a day will be able to cross.

For hundreds of Albanians, the seasonal work in the neighboring country remains the only livelihood. They have been working in agriculture for years in different seasons, and as a result of the pandemic, the closure of the border has made them extremely conditioned.

As of Saturday, 200 seasonal workers have passed through Greece, while this figure is expected to increase day by day.
