The Albanian-American Council, based in New York, continues with the humanitarian initiative of distributing aids.

This time the aid was delivered to North Macedonia for 150 families in need, who are going through a difficult period in coping with the pandemic.

"Assistance continues for families in need in North Macedonia! Many Thanks to all who contributed and trusted us for coming to the aid of over 150 families in need, especially the patriot Mr. Kalosh Sela, who has consistently helped raise money. Many thanks also to the representatives of the Council in North Macedonia, Mr. Ariton Murtishi and the volunteers of the Alliance for Albanians who undertook the distribution of packages to needy families in Struga and the district of Struga!", The Council said in its announcement on Facebook.

The council is chaired by Haxhi Dauti and has been close to its compatriots for years, becoming part of various humanitarian initiatives. Dauti himself has previously stated that he prefers to make his humanitarian gestures without much fuss and publicity. Dauti has been sending aid to his homeland since the early 1990s when the country was facing major crises.
