Part of a scheme to transport a large amount of cocaine that has arrived in Kosovo through the port of Durres, is a truck owned by an Albanian company, "MC Foods" where the shareholders are two businessmen, Izet Sheqiri from Kosovo and Bledar Habili from Albania.
The truck with an amount of over 400 kg of cocaine was caught in the municipality of Lipjan, as the last destination, where the warehouse of the company "MC Foods" is located. The large-scale operation was carried out by the American DEA, the Italian police, the Albanian police, and finally the Kosovo Police, which is continuing the action.
While an unbelievable amount of cocaine was seized today by the Kosovo Police, in a warehouse in Lipjan. The amount of drugs that were transported through the port of Durres, is reported to be 2.2 tons, which is worth over 6 billion euros but is still being weighed.
The operation was carried out under the coordination of the US DEA, who had information from the beginning about the cargo in question by placing GPS to see where it was going. In addition to the DEA, the also Italian side was involved in the operation, as the place where the container transited to Albania, the Albanian side, and the Kosovo police after it was revealed what would be its final destination.
