3 people were caught with 4.6 kilograms of TNT explosive in Durrës

 Three people were handcuffed by the police in Durrës, after being found with 4.6 kg of TNT and C-4 explosives, a Kalashnikov, ammunition, hand grenades and detonating caps.

According to the police, the arrested persons are the citizens: B. F., 42 years old, resident in Tirana, previously convicted for the criminal offenses "Illegal possession of weapons" and "Theft"; A. Gj., 33 years old and J. F., 33 years old, resident in Tirana.

"After a month-long investigation, it became possible to document with legal evidence the criminal activity committed by these citizens in the field of trafficking in weapons, explosives and ammunition, in the cities of Tirana and Durres.

Based on this evidence, in the place called "Shkozet Overpass", Durrës, in the framework of the operation "Binomi", these people were caught and arrested. During the control in the vehicle type "Land-Rover Freelander", driven by the citizen J. F. and passengers the citizens B. F. and A. Gj., The Police found and seized as material evidence:

• 1.2 kg of suspected packaged explosive type C-4;

• 2.2 kg of suspected tritol explosive;

• 3 hand grenades;

• 4 mobile phones.

The "Land-Rover Freelander" type vehicle was also seized as material evidence.

"In function of the criminal proceedings initiated a month ago for cracking down on this criminal activity, the Police services have also seized a Kalashnikov firearm and 1.2 kg of TNT explosives, 5 detonating capsules and a quantity of ammunition", the police announced.
