Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said on Friday that his country would donate 1 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to the countries of the Western Balkans.
He made the commitment following a conference with representatives of countries in the region aspiring to European integration, with whom he discussed reforms related to European Union membership, the fight against illegal migration and the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
"As the Republic of Austria, we want to provide assistance by donating one million doses of vaccine," said the Austrian Chancellor, noting that vaccine doses will be distributed from August to the end of the year.
