The High Judicial Council (HJC) accepted the request of the High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani for the dismissal of the magistrate, Kliton Spahiu.
It was the chairman of the court session, the vice-president of the HJC, Maksim Qoku, who announced the acceptance of the request for the dismissal of the magistrate Spahiu.
The businessman, Namik Sadik, who was on trial by Spahiu, enabled him and two other judges dealing with his case, to travel to Spain, based on this he was accused of corruption.
On one of the trips, in October 2014, the judges had obtained tickets to watch the Real Madrid - Barcelona football match. The media coverage referring mostly to this match made the case be labeled as "El Clasico judges".
