Kukes Airport launches flights from July 15 with Zurich and Istanbul

On July 15, Kukes Airport 'Zayed-Flatrat e Veriut' will start flights with Switzerland and Turkey. In a post on 'Facebook' Albanian Prime Edi Rama publishes the prices of the airlines and writes that based on the ticket the travellers will have another one euro tax.

Prime Minister Rama says that there will be good news from this front again. Meanwhile, Rama also responded to rumors that assumed that Kukes Airport was only for the campaign. He writes that whoever thought so was wrong because nothing is done just for the campaign.

The first flight of Kukes Airport took place on May 18 this year. The 'Air Albania' plane took off from London where it took Albanian emigrants to Great Britain, then stopped initially in Rinas where they took Prime Minister Edi Rama and the flight continued to Kukës. The citizens in Kukës had created a festive atmosphere and welcomed the emigrants together with the Prime Minister with flags and with great enthusiasm.

Kukes International Airport 'Zayed-Flatrat e Veriut' has a runway of 2.2 kilometers and its observation tower, while in the part of the aircraft, it is designed to hold 3 aircraft simultaneously, while within 1 hour 4 plans can depart from Kukes airport. The terminal occupies a site of 3500 m2, has 2 entrance gates, and inside it a museum area commemorating the Kosovo war, which was also the starting point of this airport, as a gift from the United Arab Emirates to receive aid for refugees.
