The European Council has included Albania in the list of countries whose restrictions on non-basic travel to the union countries have been lifted.

The list will be reviewed in two weeks, says the EC, which recommends member states gradually lift restrictions on these states.

In addition to Albania, the list includes Serbia, North Macedonia, Australia, Japan, Lebanon, Israel, Rwanda, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, the United States, as well as Hong Kong and Macau.

The list also includes non-EU Schengen countries, such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, as well as residents of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican.
