The Government of Kosovo provides 100 thousand euros of assistance to Presevo after the heavy rainfalls

Kosovo has distributed 100 thousand euros to the Municipality of Presevo, after the damage caused by heavy rainfall.

At the meeting of the Government of Kosovo, Prime Minister Albin Kurti stressed that funds have been allocated for Presevo by the Municipality of Tirana and the Municipality of Prishtina.

"I was widely informed about the damages caused by the heavy rains in the municipality of Presevo, and they reach the total value of 325 thousand euros. So far, the Municipality of Tirana has helped them with 50 thousand, the municipality of Prishtina with 50 thousand euros", said Kurti.

The Minister of Finance, Hekuran Murati has stated that the financial means do not fully cover the damage, but this action according to him is a sign of solidarity with the Albanians living in the Presevo Valley.

"With this decision, it is foreseen to allocate financial means in the amount of 100 thousand euros, and this in the name of assistance for partial coverage after the damages from the floods in the municipality of Presevo. These financial means are not completely covered, but at least it is a solidarity of the Government of Kosovo with our brothers across the border. The financial means of this decision are taken from the program of unforeseen expenses, the category of reserve-expenses", he says.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti has announced that Serbia has not yet allocated any amount of money for this natural disaster, which hit the Municipality of Presevo a few days ago.
