Two persons infected with the Delta variant of COVID-19 have been identified in Kosovo.
The announcement was made by the Ministry of Health of Kosovo, where through a press release confirmed that both cases have shown symptoms, but have already recovered and are at home.
"Today we received data from 22 positive samples sent to the Institute of Virology of the Charite University Clinic in Berlin, of which 2 (two) samples were identified with the Delta variant (B.1.617.2) of SARS-CoV-2" , reported the Ministry of Health in Kosovo.
The isolation of the two infected has been completed, while medical teams have already tracked all possible sources and contacts to prevent the further spread of cases.
