Police have arrested I. Medani, 22 years old, who is suspected of being the cause of the serious accident that occurred today on the Fier-Vlora road axis, where four members of a family died.
Traffic specialists at the Local Police Directorate of Vlora arrested in flagrante delicto the young man, resident in Tirana in the hospital where he is receiving treatment for injuries caused by the accident.
The 22-year-old driving the vehicle type "Audi", on the road axis Fier-Vlora, is suspected to have lost control and hit from behind the vehicle type "Toyota" driven by the citizen E.G., 44 years old and as a result, 4 citizens died, all those traveling with the Toyota.
Also, as a result, the driver of the "Audi" vehicle and the two passengers, who are in the hospital, under the care of doctors, were injured. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Vlora for the criminal offense "Violation of traffic rules."
The Road Code, more specifically Article 290, provides that in cases when "the criminal offense has caused the death or serious injury of several persons, is punishable by imprisonment of five to twenty years."
