8 corruption officers arrested in Albania, tender with 2800 euros for just a police uniform

 

8 people were arrested this morning by order of SPAK and another is wanted due to corruption with the tender of police uniforms.

It all started two years ago when the Ministry of Interior opened the tender with a colossal value of 25 million euros in order to purchase uniforms for the State Police until 2023.

The deadline for acceptance of bids was August 23 and according to the data published by "OpenData" the winner was announced the merger of the companies D&E SHPK and SUMMER CONF. s.r.l and LOVERS s.r.l and YAKUPOGLU TEXTILE AND UP TO SAN. YOU C. AS A. VEDAT YAKUPOGLU ”.

These companies undertook to offer the uniforms to the State Police at an average price per unit of 319,966 ALL. Meanwhile, the other two bids had an average unit price of 133,480 ALL and 446,667 ALL.

After receiving the bids, the Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Interior decided to disqualify the first two bids, declaring the winner that of the merger of some Albanian and Turkish companies, therefore the uniforms of the Albanian State Police are the same, except for the logos of the Turkish Police.
