Drilon Ibrahimi is one of the Albanian athletes who will represent the state of Kosovo in the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020". He competes in the sport of shooting and participating in such an important competition is the realization of a big dream for the 33-year-old.

"Participation in the Olympic Games is the culmination of every athlete. One of the best goals in my life has been achieved," he said to local media.

Drilon goes to the Japanese capital with great expectations, although the training time has been short and the equipment is not as modern as that of the opponents.

"My expectations are very good. I do not want to excite myself to say that I will return with medals but I will go to give the maximum", adds the athlete.

The optimism for achievement is not lacking even for the coach of Drilon, Lumturi Pepa, who came from Albania to help the Kosovo shooting team.

"We are working intensively and we have reached all levels of training," she said.

Together with Drilon, 10 other Olympians will travel to Japan, to whom the Kosovo Olympic Community has high hopes for high results.

Among the representatives of Kosovo in these Olympic Games is the winner of the gold medal in "Rio 2016", judoka Majlinda Kelmendi, European champion in judo, Akil Gjakova, and three other judokas. In addition to judo, shooting, and boxing, Kosovo also competes in wrestling, swimming, and athletics.
