Albanian footballer Lindon Selahi was without a team for weeks after left from Twente. Yesterday he was made official in the team Croatian team of Rijeka, where he will try to restart and find more space. After the signing, he said his first words as a Rijeka player.

"Today I visited the stadium, everything looks very beautiful, the field is really fantastic and I can not wait to play in front of Rijeka fans. I know Rijeka has a long history, in recent years it has had great success in European competitions and I am happy to be here.

I am originally from the Balkans, so I know a lot about Croatian football. Just look at the Croatian national football team, which played in the World Cup final, and has world-famous players. I played with Duje Cop (who plays for Dinamo Zagreb) at Standard Liege so we will meet again.

I feel better in the front of the midfield, I like to put pressure on the opponent, I feel good when I have the ball on my feet, I believe I can contribute forward with my assists. Seeing this great field, I believe I can make good matches with the Rijeka jersey. I played in the Standard Liege, where I also made my youth debut.

I then played for Anderlecht and then Twente, where I played over 40 games, and last year in the second half of the season I was loaned to Willem II. I played 16 games, we managed to secure the position among the best and it was a great success. "From now on, I am focused only on Rijeka", Selahi says.
