Police officer caught with cocaine in Tirana

 An officer of Commissariat no. 2 in Tirana was handcuffed today along with two other people, after being caught with cocaine.

The arrested officer is Elefterios Sullaj, who previously was part of the ‘Shqiponja’ ward, but for about 1 month was an effective of Commissariat no. 2 in Tirana, Euronews Albania reports.

The investigation has been going on for several months, as there have been suspicions about the involvement of the effective in illegal activities. The indication has come since the time when Sullaj was part of the "Shqiponja" unit.

It is worth noting that this does not remain an isolated case in the context of the incrimination of police elements, although this community enjoys relatively better salaries compared to other professions in Albania.
