The Traffic Police in Albania continues each second monitoring all national road axes, urban centers, and main rural axes in order to prevent road accidents and increase road safety parameters.

During the last 24 hours, 9 car drivers were arrested in flagrante delicto, of which 4 for driving without a driving license and 5 for driving while drunk.

As a result of radar and alcohol testing monitoring, 41 driving licenses were suspended, of which 25 for speeding above the allowed norms ranging from 152 km / h in Levan-Vlora, 154 km / h in Tirana-Elbasan at night, and until at 185 km / h in the Fier Bypass, and 16 for driving under the influence of alcohol or in a drunken state up to 1.43 mg / l in Tirana.

As a result of intensive checks and denunciations addressed to the Digital Commissariat and the toll-free number 112, 1654 drivers were punished throughout the country with administrative measures, for violations that bring consequences to the life and health of road users.

Police appeal:

Do not drive at speeds that violate the safety of life on the road, do not drive under the influence of alcohol or drunk, do not overtake, do not use the cell phone while driving, stand in line where there is a slowdown, as the flow of vehicles towards coastal areas and vice versa is very high and all roads are monitored by the Traffic Police using the logistical base available.

On every road axis across the country, there are Traffic Police patrols with, for one purpose: safety of life.

Follow the traffic rules to reach a safe destination with your license in your pocket.

We invite the citizens to report to the number 112 and to the Digital Commissariat, any violation of the Road Code, guaranteeing them full anonymity and a quick and professional reaction", calls the police.
